Churchill Burns

Watercolor, 24” x 18”

The subject of this painting is a store window installation, with reflections on the glass from the buildings across the street. This painting is from a series created on rice paper with wax on top of layered watercolor, which is then removed by ironing it off. This process is called “batik,” and is usually used on fabric.
