Breezes in the Dogwoods

“Breezes in the Dogwoods” was the theme for the 2015 AQS 30th Anniversary online quilt competition.  Each participant had to use the fabrics of “Dogwoods” provided by AQS.  Dogwood trees grow profusely in the Paducah, KY area, bursting forth with blooms every spring during their quilt competition. I built my design to indicate the wind and Dogwood blossoms — the spiked parts were paper-pieced. 

I won the contest and got to keep my quilt.
