Cameo

Quilted Fabric, Mixed Media, 24” x 18”

Each corner of this quilt has an antique, cigarette silk cameo sewn on it… hence the name. The 3D papier mâché “cameo,” is painted with acrylics and is surrounded by silk leaves. The background is pieced in the traditional quilt manner, with fabrics that have a calligraphic theme.
