Spuyten Duyvil

Quilted Fabric, 70” x 66”

This quilt was made for the “2016 New Quilts from an Old Favorite-New York Beauty” series.  That particular quilt pattern has many spikes on it.  I used paper piecing to make my spikes in a complementary color scheme of red-violet and yellow-green.  The name comes from a place in New York that has a very roily river, and I thought the description of that place described my quilt perfectly.
